UV Tech is a company specializing in the design and manufacturing of UV irradiation devices and irradiation heads. They offer a variety of UV irradiation solutions, from germicidal lamps to sterilization systems, creating a clean, safe environment.


Customer demand:

The customer's ultraviolet irradiation device and irradiation head require high-quality single-sided high-current copper-based circuit boards. They require copper-based circuit boards with high thermal conductivity and low thermal resistance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the UV LED chips.






Project challenges:

The application range of customer products brings challenges such as high temperature and high IPC Level 3 standards to the design and production of copper-based circuit boards. In addition, the customer's product design required a custom copper-based circuit board with precise drilling and routing to meet its specifications and design requirements.

Our strategy:

Provide customers with single-sided high-current copper-based circuit boards, which are composed of copper layers and copper substrates. We have adopted the following strategies to meet our customers' needs and overcome challenges:

Ⅰ: High thermal conductivity, and low thermal resistance:
We use high-quality copper materials and copper foil to produce copper-based circuit boards. The copper-based circuit board has a high thermal conductivity of 400 W/mK and a low thermal resistance of 0.1°C/W, ensuring optimal heat dissipation and performance of the UV LED chip. These properties are critical for UV irradiation equipment and irradiation heads, as they operate at high temperatures and are subject to thermal stress.

Ⅱ: Waterproof and Corrosion Resistant Surface Treatment:
We use a special surface treatment process called HASL (Hot Air Solder Leveling) to enhance the waterproof and corrosion resistance of copper-based circuit boards. The HASL process forms a welding protective layer on the copper-based circuit board to prevent metal oxidation and corrosion and improve the solderability and reliability of the UV LED chip.

Ⅲ: Custom Copper Base Circuit Boards, Precision Drilling, and Routing:
We understand the diverse needs of our customers and provide customized solutions and precision drilling and routing services. We use high-precision CNC machines and laser drills to create precise and consistent holes and traces on copper-based circuit boards based on our customer's specifications and design requirements. This customization method ensures that the copper-based circuit board is seamlessly integrated into the customer's UV irradiation device and irradiation head, thereby facilitating the installation and operation of the UV irradiation device and irradiation head.
