Customer Background:
A customer is a company specializing in the production of UV LED printers, which are mainly used in printing, packaging, advertising, and other fields. The customer's products have very high requirements for circuit boards, which need to have high thermal conductivity, high anti-interference, high precision, and other characteristics.
Cooperation needs:
The customer originally used an ordinary FR4 circuit board but found that in the high-speed operating environment of the UV LED printer, the heat dissipation performance of the FR4 circuit board was insufficient, which easily caused the circuit board to overheat and affected the stability and accuracy of the printer. At the same time, the anti-interference performance of the FR4 circuit board is not ideal, and it is easily interfered by external electromagnetic signals, affecting the output quality of the printer. The customer hopes to find a circuit board material that is more suitable for UV LED printer applications and can effectively solve the problems of heat dissipation and anti-interference.Solution:
Based on the customer's needs, we recommended a single-sided 2-layer Thermal Electric Separation Copper Core PCB (TESCC PCB for short) as a circuit board material. TESCC PCB is a unique metal-based copper-clad laminate. It divides the copper core layer into two parts, one part is used as a circuit layer and the other part is used as a heat dissipation layer. The thermal conductivity of TESCC PCB can reach 2.0W/mK, which is more than 10 times that of FR4 circuit board.
